Shrimp farmer rewarded with exclusive brand

Vo Hong Ngoan has become the first shrimp farmer ever to be granted an exclusive brand name certificate, "Clean Prawn Farming Sau Ngoan Viet Nam ", by the National Office of Intellectual Property.

Ngoan resides in Bien Dong A hamlet, Vinh Trach Dong commune, Bac Lieutown, the southern province of Bac Lieu .

His industrial prawn farm covers an area of over 30 ha where heapplies a clean and sustainable prawn farming process without usingantibiotics and chemicals.

Representatives of many EU and Japanese companies have visited hisfarm to sign contracts to buy prawn at prices 15-30 percent higher thanthe market price./.
