The Vietnam National Administration for Tourism has unveiled plans toopen a representative office in Tokyo later this year as part ofefforts to attract more Japanese tourists to Vietnam and promotecooperation between the two countries.
Hoang ThiDiep, deputy chief of the VNAT, said the Tokyo office, theadministration’s first abroad, is expected to double the number ofJapanese arrivals to 1 million in 2015.
An MoU foropening it will be signed at the Festival Hue in April, she said, addingthat Japanese and Vietnamese travel firms are looking forward to it.
