Vietnam’s trade deficit reached 357 million USD in the past 10 months, accounting for 0.4 percent of the total exports, which stood at 93.45 billion USD during the same period, up 18.4 percent from last year’s same period.

The deficit represents an annual rise of 6.8 percent.

According to the General Statistics Office, the nation earned 9.9 billion USD from exports in October alone, a monthly increase of 4.4 percent.

However, an estimated 10.4 billion USD was spent on imports this month, up by over 11.7 percent, resulting in a trade deficit of almost 500 million USD.-VNA
