Da Nang International Airport in the central city of Da Nang and Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi have been ranked 23rd and 28th, respectively, in a survey naming the Top 30 Best Airports in Asia by the airport-review website www. sleepinginairports .net.

The annual survey asked travellers to rate their airport experiences based on such factors as services and facilities, terminal cleanliness, customer service and comfort.

According to the site, travellers who actually slept in the airport were also able to rate the terminal on its "sleepability". These airport ratings, comments and reviews submitted throughout the year make up its annual Best & Worst Airports list.

Last year, Da Nang airport was voted among the top three best airports in the world in a survey by Hong Kong’s Dragonair.

As the biggest in the central region, the airport plays an important role in the country's airport system. It caters to travel demand to and from Da Nang city and neighbouring areas, and also serves as a domestic transit destination.

Currently, more than 100 flights with approximately 10,000 passengers take off from and land at the airport a day.

Tan Son Nhat International Airport in the southern metropolis Ho Chi Minh City remained in the Top 10 Worst Airports in Asia list this year, ranking 4th, a big drop from last year's 8th.-VNA
