VietJetAir launches new air route

The low-cost carrier VietJetAir on November 22 officially launched a domestic route linking Ho Chi Minh City with the central city of Hue to meet the increasing demand from domestic and foreign passengers.
The low-cost carrier VietJetAir on November 22 officially launched adomestic route linking Ho Chi Minh City with the central city of Hue tomeet the increasing demand from domestic and foreign passengers.

The route, the carrier’s 7 th in their domestic air network, willcarry up to 180 passengers on the daily Airbus A320 flight.

The airline’s Deputy General Director, Pritam Singh, said that Hueis a must-see destination for visitors. The launching of the new routeis expected to help the ever developing tourism and trade activities inthe provinces of Quang Tri and Quang Binh, which are in easy reach fromHue .

The carrier is expected to open furtherroutes to the South Central Highlands resort city of Da Lat and thesouthern island of Phu Quoc in a near future.

VietJetAir is currently the second biggest airline in Vietnam interms of flight numbers. It was recently named the friendliest airline,and best airline for promotional deals in Vietnam by the Trust &Consume 2012 market research report in HCM City./.VNA
