Paris (VNA) – Vietnam Airlines had to postpone flight VN18 from Paris to Hanoi on January 3 due to technical problems.

The problematic Airbus A350 with registered code of VN889 was handed over to Vietnam Airlines by the global aircraft manufacturer Airbus in June 2015.

The aircraft was put into operation on October 1 on the route between Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City and Paris.

Given the incident, Vietnam Airlines made contact with Airbus experts to get support, said Director of the carrier’s representative office in France and Europe Nguyen Quoc Phuong.

The airlines also took good care of 201 passengers during the waiting time, he added.

After two days of repairing, the plane took off at Charles de Gaulle airport at 11:55 pm on January 5 (local time) to fly to Hanoi.

Earlier, to reduce the number of passengers having to wait at the airport, Vietnam Airlines arranged a plane B777 to carry passengers from Paris to Hanoi on the same day evening.-VNA
