During a working session with the National Chamber of Commerce andIndustry of Malaysia (NCCIM) on December 17, the committee’s deputy headNguyen Phong Quang also suggested cooperation in the fields ofagriculture, farm produce processing, industrial zones andtransportation, especially in the Mekong Delta, as well as in tourismand marine economy.
He invited the Malaysian side to attendthe Mekong Delta green tourism week 2015 which the committee and MekongDelta localities are hosting next April.
NCCIM ExecutiveDeputy Chairman K.K. Eswaran said he is pleased to share Malaysia’sdevelopment experience with the Vietnamese delegation.
Bothhost and guest agreed that the Vietnamese embassy will serve as a bridgeconnecting south-western provinces with Malaysian enterprises.
Earlier on December 16, the Vietnamese delegation held a workingsession with Executive Director of Selangor State Investment CentreHasan Azhari Hj Idris.
The host introduced the potential and development experience of Selangor, one of the most developed states in Malaysia.
The visit of the Steering Committee delegation from December 15-17was to introduce the Mekong Delta’s potential in agriculture, trade,tourism, infrastructure, industrial zones and learn about Malaysia’seconomic development experience, with a focus on developing amarine-based economy.-VNA
