the successful third meeting of the ACMW in Hanoi on May 18-19.
The 3 rd meeting of the ASEAN Committee on the Implementation of the ASEAN Declaration on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers (ACMW) reviewed the past activities of ASEAN nations and discussed future plans to improve protection for regional migrant workers.
It is one of the seven events to prepare for the 21 st meeting of ASEAN Labour Ministers.

The four topics dominating the two-day discussion included measures to improve protection and promote the rights of migrant workers against over-exploitation and maltreatment; increasing regional cooperation in management of migrant workers in ASEAN; regional cooperation against human trafficking and building ASEAN documents on protecting and promoting the rights of migrant workers.
Vietnam , as the host country, has brought ASEAN countries closer together, creating concensus in protection and promotion of migrant workers’ rights./.
