Vietnamese music teachers receive Laos Labour Orders

The Lao State has awarded the Labour Order to two former Vietnamese music teachers—Tran To Lan and Dinh Quang Hop—in recognition of their devotion and hard work in educating Lao students who studied at the National Music Academy from the 1955-1969 academic years.

On behalf of the Lao Government, Minister of Information, Culture andTourism Bosengkham Vongdara presented the decorations at a ceremony heldin Vientiane on April 10.

Representing former Lao studentswho studied in Vietnam, Buangan Saphuvong, Deputy Minister of LaoInformation, Culture and Tourism, thanked the Vietnamese Government forits support in training Lao human resources.

He affirmed thatVietnamese teachers’ service to Lao music students contributes tostrengthening the friendship, special solidarity and comprehensivecooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples.-VNA

Dak Lak supports fishermen in occupational transition

As of December 5, 2025, Dak Lak had 2,556 fishing vessels, with an annual marine catch of around 68,000 tonnes. An estimated 2,900 workers are in need of occupational transition, as most have limited educational backgrounds, unstable incomes and are increasingly ageing.
