On June 14, some delta provinces in the north of the country recorded temperatures of 36-38 degrees Celsius, while the temperature surge to 40 degrees Celsius in several places in the central provinces of Thanh Hoa and Nghe An.
The National Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting Centre has also forecast showers, thunderstorms and light winds in the late afternoons.
The northwest is likely to see a low of 22 degrees with the highest temperatures reaching up to 34 degrees Celsius, while the northeast is expected to have a low of 25 degrees Celsius and a high of 35 degrees Celsius.
Hanoi continues to be affected by the heat wave during the day, interspersed with showers and thunderstorms and at night the lowest temperatures will be around 26 degrees Celsius and the highest between 35-38 degrees Celsius./.
