Hanoi (VNA) - The following is a list of selected news summaries last night by the Vietnam News Agency.
- Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on March 30
chaired a meeting of the Party Central Committee’s Politburo and Secretariat on
a project summarising the 10-year implementation of Resolution No. 15-NQ/TW
dated June 10, 2012, of the 11th Party Central Committee on social policies for
the 2012-2020 period.

The Politburo said that over the past 35 years
implementing the Doi moi (Renewal) policy and the 10 years implementing the resolution,
innovating and developing social policies is a consistent advocate of the Party
and State with the spirit of economic growth coupled with social progress and

- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the fourth
Mekong River Commission (MRC) Summit in Vientiane, Laos, on April 5, according
to the Foreign Ministry's communique.

His attendance is made at the invitation of the

- The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry
for Foreign Affairs, International Economic Cooperation and Telecommunications
of San Marino have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on enhancing
political consultations.

The document was inked by Vietnamese Deputy
Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang and San Marino Minister of Foreign
Affairs, International Economic Cooperation and Telecommunications Lucca
Beccari at the headquarters of the San Marino Embassy in Rome, Italy, on March

- Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha had a meeting with the
verification council for the draft planning on national petrol, oil, and gas
storage and supply infrastructure for 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, in
Hanoi on March 30.
Stressing the importance to national energy
security, he requested that the planning have high precision and feasibility,
match the set tasks and targets, and guarantee active and stable energy supply

- The import-export revenue of agro-forestry-fisheries
products in the first quarter of this year was estimated at 20.63 billion USD,
down 11.2% year on year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural
Development (MARD).
Of the total, export value reached about 11.19
billion USD, down 14.4%. Imports were 9.44 billion USD, a fall of 7.2% year on
year, resulting in a trade surplus of 1.76 billion USD, a drop of 39.6% year on

headed by Hoang Thi Thuy Lan, Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Council,
has visited the US in a bid to attract investors to the province.
Meeting with representatives from the New York
Chamber of Commerce, Lan introduced Vinh Phuc’s socio-economic conditions and

- Solutions to promote trade cooperation between Vietnam and
Australia and the implementation of the Australia-Vietnam Enhanced Economic
Engagement Strategy (EEES) were tabled at an online meeting on March 30 in
Hanoi.
During the 4th session of a trade working group
within the framework of the Ministerial-level Vietnam-Australia Economic
Partnership Meeting, the two sides focused on reviewing the implementation of
cooperation contents agreed at the 3rd session and discussed issues related to
