- Party General Secretary To Lam on November 17 outlined crucial, forward-looking requirements for the Government Inspectorate, stressing the need for the inspection work to fundamentally shift its focus from merely "handling violations" to "prevention early and from afar."
Speaking at the ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the traditional day of Vietnam's inspection sector (November 23, 1945 – 2025) in Hanoi, General Secretary Lam emphasised that as Vietnam enters a new development phase - striving to become a strong, prosperous, and happy nation, and a developed, high-income country by 2045, the role of inspection has become more critical and comprehensive. - Kuwait’s Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah hosted a welcome ceremony for visiting Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his entourage in Kuwait City on November 17 (local time).

- The Prime Minister has issued an official dispatch asking for urgent measures and swift actions to address the aftermath of a landslide at Khanh Le pass in Nam Vinh Khanh commune, Khanh Hoa province, on November 16 night, which claimed six lives and injured 19 others.
The document was sent to the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; the Ministries of National Defence, Public Security, Agriculture and Environment, Construction, and Health, and the Chief of Office of the National Civil Defence Steering Committee. Read full story

- Vietnam’s automobile market is entering an unprecedentedly vibrant phase as a surge in imported vehicles, electric cars and hybrids gathers momentum. Intense competition between domestic and foreign manufacturers is reshaping the industry, ushering in a period of major transformation in both technology and consumer behaviour.
According to the latest figures from the Department of Customs, Vietnam imported 16,343 cars in October. Although this represents a 5.5% drop from the previous month, total imports over the first ten months reached 171,364 units, up 20% year on year. - By winning another gold medal in men’s classic bodybuilding on the final competition day, Vietnam concluded the 16th World Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship 2025 with three runner-up titles.
Competing on November 16 morning, Asian champion in 2024 Nguyen Thanh Tien became the new world champion in the men’s classic bodybuilding for athletes up to 1.82m. - Aero K of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on November 16 announced its new air route connecting Cheongju International Airport in Chungbuk province of the RoK and Nha Trang in the south central province of Khanh Hoa of Vietnam.
