– General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee and State President To Lam handed over an appointment decision to Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Minh Tam at a ceremony in Hanoi on September 5.

Congratulating Tam, Vice Chairman of the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations, on the appointment, the top leader stressed that it manifests the Party and State’s confidence in the ambassador's capacity and qualifications. Read full story

– Party General Secretary and State President To Lam has offered the best greetings to teachers, education cadres and workers, parents, and students nationwide on the occasion of the start of the new academic year 2024 - 2025.

In his letter, the leader noted that the Party and State always view education and training as a leading national priority and have issued policies for developing the sector. Read full story

– Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 academic year at Nguyen Dinh Chieu junior high school for students with vision impairment in Hanoi on September 5.

Recalling President Ho Chi Minh’s saying that “For the sake of a decade, plant trees. For the sake of a century, raise people,” PM Chinh said that the Party and State have always considered education-training as the top national policy and an extremely important area with decisive significance, and issued and effectively implemented many policies, mechanisms and strategies to develop education and training. – Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man beat the drum to mark the start of the 2024-2025 academic year at Pham Hung High School in Long Ho district, the Mekong Delta province of Vinh Long, on September 5.

In his speech at the ceremony, the top legislator stressed that the Party and State always see education a top national policy, and investment in education is that for development, ensuring that all school-aged children are able to attend schools and study in the best conditions. Read full story

- National Assembly (NA) Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai and his Lao counterpart Sommad Pholsena co-chaired a seminar on the role of the legislative body in building and implementing socio-economic development policies in the central city of Da Nang on September 5.
