Bridge work underway to link VN, Cambodia

The southern province of Binh Phuoc held a groundbreaking ceremony on Mar. 29 at Hoang Dieu border gate to start construction of Song Mang bridge, linking the province and Cambodia’s eastern province of Mondulkiri.

With a total cost of 11.94 billion VND, the bridge has a length of 27.3m and a width of 12m.

According to provincial leaders, Song Mang bridge project shows thesolidarity and friendship between Vietnamese and Cambodian peoples. Thebridge will play an important role in transportation, trade and culturalexchange, creating strong motivation to improve socio-economicdevelopment for Binh Phuoc and Mondulkiri provinces.

The project will be complete in nearly six months.-VNA

As of December 5, 2025, Dak Lak had 2,556 fishing vessels, with an annual marine catch of around 68,000 tonnes. An estimated 2,900 workers are in need of occupational transition, as most have limited educational backgrounds, unstable incomes and are increasingly ageing.
