Cambodia learns Vietnam’s planning experience

Hau Giang (VNA) – Leadersof the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang on September 25 held a workingsession with a delegation of the Cambodian Ministry of Planning led by Ministerof State Hou Taing Eng.

The Cambodian delegation has beenon a two-day working visit to Vietnam until September 26 to exchange experiencewith the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MoPI) in making local planningschemes.

Speaking at the event, Chairmanof the provincial People’s Committee Lu Van Hung said the sharing of experiencein making local-level planning schemes between the two ministries via workingsessions in Hau Giang will contribute to further strengthening bilateral ties.

Hou Taing Eng, for his part, saidthe two ministries have been cooperating with each other since 2009, addingthat Cambodia want to acquire Vietnam’s experience in devising local plans andinternal inspection.

Representatives from the MoPI’s Departmentof Local and Territorial Economy talked about how to make socio-economicdevelopment planning schemes from the central to local levels while theministry’s inspectors shared experience in internal inspection.-VNA
