Cambodia’s National Day marked in HCM City

The 61st National Day of Cambodia (November 9) was celebrated in Ho Chi Minh City on November 6 with the participation of Vietnamese and Cambodian officials.

Addressing the function, Chairman ofthe Ho Chi Minh City chapter of the Vietnam–Cambodia FriendshipAssociation Truong Minh Nhut said the two nations are on the right pathto socio-economic development.

Vietnam has invested over 3billion USD in more than 130 projects in Cambodia since 2013. Thecountry is also Cambodia’s third largest trade partner, with a focus ontelecommunications, banking, energy, rubber and agricultural processing.

He said Ho Chi Minh City would do more to contribute to the success of the Vietnamese–Cambodian ties.

Cambodian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Sim Sokhom, on his part,expressed his hope for increased friendly cooperation between the twocountries.-VNA

Vietnamese language school in Laos strengthens cross-border bond

Established by the Vietnamese Association in Khammouane in 2024, the school covers nearly 3,500 square metres, and features 19 rooms, including 11 fully equipped classrooms, a practice room, a library, and various support facilities, with a total investment of 25 billion VND (around 1 million USD).

Binh Duong to rebuild substandard houses by September 2

Vietnamese workers to enjoy five-day Reunification and Labour Day holiday

The Government is recommending public employers arrange their working schedules to swap out working on Saturday, April 26, for the day off on May 2.In early April, workers in Vietnam will also enjoy a day off for the Hung Kings Commemoration Day (the 10th day of the third lunar month), which falls on April 7 (Monday).
