Fourth livestream to bring safe food to consumers

A key feature is live-streamed sales on the TikTok Shop platform, allowing companies to present products, detail specifications, pricing and promotions, and engage consumers in real time.

Hanoi (VNA) – The fourth edition of the 'Suc Song Hang Viet' (Vitality of Vietnamese Goods) showcase and livestream, themed “Food for Vietnamese Consumers”, will run at 62 Trang Tien Street in Hanoi from April 3-5, in response to the Action Month for Food Safety.

Co-hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Agency for Domestic Market Surveillance and Development, the Hoan Kiem ward People’s Committee, TikTok Shop and the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam, the event is all about giving local companies a fresh pipeline to push their products straight to Vietnamese shoppers.

This edition spotlights food products with clear origins, traceable sourcing areas and transparent production processes. Highlights include Khanh Hoa bird’s nest from the Khanh Hoa Salanganes Nest Company, Giang macadamia nuts from Truong Giang Lai Chau One Member Co. Ltd., Sadu herbal tea derived from Solanum procumbens produced by Thang Long High-Tech Agriculture JSC, and chicken eggs enriched with the same herb. All are pitched as everyday staples that actually meet stricter quality and food safety standards.

Meritorious Artist Ngoc Quynh, a veteran television actor known for his roles in political and social dramas, will appear as a special guest to boost viewer interest and pull in a bigger crowd.

On the ground at 62 Trang Tien, shoppers can wander through displays, get the full backstory on where everything comes from and how it’s made, sample the goods, and buy on the spot. Organisers expect the setup to tighten business-consumer links and better supercharge sales

Notably, all transactions at the event will go cashless, riding the wave of digital payment and modern retail trends./.

Ho Chi Minh City promotes logistics supply chain cooperation with US state

According to Cao Thi Phi Van, Vice Director of ITPC, the forum took place amid steadily deepening Vietnam–US relations. Vietnam issues new control procedures to tackle IUU fishing

Under Decision No. 1111/QD-BNNMT issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the new process regulates the inspection and supervision of foreign vessels engaged in fishing, transport or transhipment of seafood when calling at Vietnamese ports for import, temporary import for re-export, transit or transhipment activities.

Vietnam, India look to boost business connectivity through Vietnam Expo 2026

Addressing the opening session, Trade Counsellor of Vietnam in India Bui Trung Thuong highlighted the steady growth of bilateral economic relations, noting that two-way trade reached approximately 16.5 billion USD last year. However, he stressed that the figure remains modest compared to the substantial potential of the two economies, which are highly complementary in structure.
