Hanoi (VNA) - FPT Retail on August 26 signed a memorandum of understanding with V-Green JSC to develop a network of VinFast electric car charging stations and electric motorbike battery swap stations at FPT shops nationwide in 2025.
Accordingly, FPT Retail will cooperate with V-Green - a developer of global electric vehicle charging network, to install VinFast electric car chargers and electric motorbike battery swap stations across FPT Shop outlets across the country, collaborating through franchise or leased space arrangements.
Depending on each location’s conditions, the two sides will optimise the installation of electric car chargers or motorbike battery swap stations, aiming to start operations in November 2025. Leveraging FPT Retail’s nationwide store network and V-Green’s professional operations, the collaboration will offer VinFast e-vehicle users maximum convenience, especially in major city centres.
Nguyen Duc Vinh, Deputy General Director of V-Green, said partnering with FPT Retail marks a significant step for V-Green, enabling it to rapidly expand its charging network and enhance the experience for VinFast vehicle owners. He stressed that with the strength of the two sides, V-Green will soon become one of the world’s largest charging infrastructure developers, contributing to realising its mission of a greener future for all.
Nguyen Viet Anh, Deputy General Director of FPT Retail, affirmed FPT Retail has always led in innovation and creating sustainable value for the community. Cooperating with V-Green is not only a business opportunity but also a way to demonstrate social responsibility, directly contributing to the green transition and supporting the government’s Net Zero 2050 goal.
Apart from rolling out 150,000 electric car and motorbike charging points across 34 cities and provinces, V-Green will continue deploying VinFast electric motorbike battery swap stations, aiming to reach 150,000 points within the next three years.
Additionally, V-Green will adopt a franchise model for electric motorbike battery swap stations, similar to its electric car charging network, to rapidly increase the number of swap points nationwide, thus promoting green transport and enhancing convenience for users./.
