Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the reception of a 20million EUR loan provided by the French Development Agency (AFD) for theSupport Programme to Respond to Climate Change (SP-RCC) in Vietnam .
The PM entrusted the Ministry of Natural Resourcesand Environment to closely coordinate with relevant agencies toimplement the programme effectively and on schedule.
Vietnam is one of the five countries forecast to be hardest hit byclimate change. In case sea level rises by one metre, nearly 5 percentof land, 11 percent of population and 7 percent of agricultural land ofVietnam will be affected./.
