Hanoi to promote tourism at World EXPO 2025

Vietnamese tourism firms will promote inbound tours, MICE travel, golf tourism, cultural tourism, wellness tourism, and available flight routes targeting Japanese visitors.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi Department of Tourism will showcase the city’s distinctive tourism offerings at the World EXPO 2025 in Japan from August 14 to 20.

Accordingly, the department will lead a delegation of travel, transport, destination, and airline operators to promote the city’s tourism products at World EXPO 2025 in Japan, with a focus on attracting Japanese visitors.

Promotional activities will be held in Osaka and Nagoya, featuring an exhibition space themed “Hanoi: A Safe – Friendly – High-Quality – Attractive Destination”.

The display will include cultural and tourism symbols of Hanoi and offer a variety of interactive experiences. These will include a 300sq.m pavilion titled “Vietnam National Day/Tourism Vietnam,” as well as a dedicated “Hanoi Tourism Day” at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.

Visitors will be introduced to Hanoi’s heritage, history, culture, and modern, integrated lifestyle through images and videos. The exhibition will also highlight signature OCOP products and traditional handicrafts, such as Bat Trang ceramics, folk paintings, lacquerware, and Van Phuc silk.

In addition, they will have a chance to join activities, including making traditional lotus tea, trying on Vietnamese traditional costumes, and exploring national musical instruments like Dan tranh (Vietnamese zither) and Dan bau (Vietnamese one-string instrument).

Additionally, Vietnamese tourism firms will promote inbound tours, MICE travel, golf tourism, cultural tourism, wellness tourism, and available flight routes targeting Japanese visitors.

Tran Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, emphasised that participation in World EXPO 2025 represents a strategic opportunity to enhance Hanoi’s tourism image in key markets, showcase the city’s unique attractions, and provide Hanoi businesses with a platform to present their most compelling products to the Japanese market./.

Hue accelerates shift toward green, low-plastic tourism models
