Speaking at the event, head ofthe State Agency for Technology Innovation (SATI) under the Ministry of Scienceand Technology Ta Viet Dung hailed the successful transfer of advanced technologiesfrom abroad for improving Vietnam’s manufacturing capacity.
According to him, changes arebeing made to the Law on Technology Transfer, with a focus on providing allpossible support for firms to access technologies and State incentives.
Apart from manufacturingtechnologies, Dung said the agency has also actively sought and introducedenergy-efficient technologies used for environment protection, greenhouseemission, and energy consumption management.
Korean businesses such as EnergyHoldings Group, CDS Industries, Daewoo Information Systems, Doosan HeavyIndustries introduced technologies regarding offshore wind energy, real-timemonitor of wastewater pollution, SmartGrid electricity consumption, biomasspower generation, among others.
Hong Min Kim from the KoreaInstitute of Energy Technology Evaluation and Planning (KETEP) said almostabove technologies were conceived by KETEP, then transferred and commercialisedto businesses.
