Vientiane (VNA) – The Made in Laos Product Exhibition 2025 officially opened in Vientiane on October 3, showcasing a colourful array of goods made in the country to domestic and international consumers.

This is the 11th edition of the annual event, organised by the Lao National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event seeks to strengthen the role of enterprises as a driving force for sustainable growth and development.

Lao Prime Minister Sonxay Siphandone attended the opening ceremony, together with ministers, representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organisations. The Vietnamese Embassy delegation, led by Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam, was also present, underscoring the close economic and trade ties between the two neighbouring countries.

This year’s exhibition brings together 160 businesses from 17 provinces and cities of Laos, along with one overseas Vietnamese enterprise, offering more than 200 booths. Products on display include handicrafts, furniture, agricultural produce, food and beverages, tourism services, industrial goods and items under the One District One Product (ODOP) scheme. The total value of displayed goods is estimated at over 16 billion LAK (around 740,000 USD), reflecting the creativity and potential of Lao enterprises.

Beyond serving as a showcase, the event provides a platform for trade connections and the exchange of management, marketing and market development experience. It also helps Lao businesses to enhance brand recognition, strengthen competitiveness, and promote the nation’s culture, traditional crafts and tourism potential to international friends.
