- The Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security held a gathering of senior public security officers of different periods in Hanoi on February 4 on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) of the Horse, with the presence of Party General Secretary To Lam.

The event was chaired by Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang. It also saw the attendance of incumbent and former members of the Party Central Committee, incumbent and former leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, spouses of deceased former leaders of the ministry, veteran revolutionaries, pre-uprising officials, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, Heroes of Labour, and general-ranking officers of the People’s Public Security Force. - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has stressed the need for the Government to immediately issue a resolution to address problems arising during the implementation of Decree No. 46/2026/ND-CP, which provides detailed regulations guiding the enforcement of the Law on Food Safety.

- Vietnam is one of the five most important markets worldwide for the US’ General Electric (GE), Chief Corporate Officer of GE Vernova Roger Romulus Martella told Acting Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung at their meeting on the sidelines of the sixth round of negotiations on a reciprocal, fair, and balanced Vietnam–US trade agreement.

During their meeting, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Quoc Phuong and his Chinese counterpart Liao Min compared notes on key priorities of the APEC Finance Ministers' Process (FMP) in 2026, to be hosted by China. Vietnamese Party chief's Special Envoy meets with top Chinese leader

General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and President of China Xi Jinping affirmed that China attaches great importance to and prioritises the development of friendly relations with Vietnam, and expressed readiness to maintain regular strategic exchanges with Party General Secretary To Lam.

Military Region 9 strengthens defence cooperation with Cambodia

Lt. Gen. Jordanian House Speaker visits Thang Long Imperial Citadel

Vietnam and Jordan established diplomatic relations in 1980. El Qadi’s official visit marks the first exchange of delegations between the legislative leaders of the two countries, taking place just three months after King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein's visit to Vietnam. It is also El Qadi’s first overseas trip since he assumed office in October 2025.
