Quang Ninh (VNA) – The Tan Dai Duong testing and inspection centre in the northern coastal province of Quang Ninh was officially accredited on January 15, meeting the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2017, marking an important step forward in enhancing testing and inspection capacity for import and export goods.

Located at the Bac Luan II customs inspection yard in Mong Cai 1 ward, the centre is operated by Tan Dai Duong Vietnam Testing and Inspection Company, providing greater convenience for the inspection and supervision of cross-border trade. Its two-storey laboratory has a total usable area of 430 square metres, comprising 350 square metres on the ground floor and 80 square metres on the first floor, with a total investment of approximately 30 billion VND (1.14 million USD).

Accredited testing capabilities include the determination of Auramine O residues in durian and jackfruit using LC/MS/MS methods, and the analysis of metal content in food products using ICP-MS technology.

Previously, on February 6, 2025, the company and the China Certification & Inspection Group (CCIC) – Guangxi Co., Ltd., Dongxing Branch (China) signed an agreement on the acceptance and handover of office facilities and the full set of laboratory equipment for agricultural and food testing at the Bac Luan II bridge border gate. This provided a key foundation for the laboratory to operate in accordance with international standards and meet the increasingly stringent requirements of importing markets.

The centre is equipped with modern, environmentally friendly systems capable of accurately analysing a wide range of food safety and quality indicators, including pesticide residues, antibiotics, toxins, bacteria, viruses, heavy metals and Auramine O in food products. It is expected to provide effective support to management agencies, organisations and enterprises in proactively monitoring the quality of agricultural, forestry and aquatic products before export to China./.
