Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,192 VND/USD on September 29, down 2 VND from the last working day of the previous week.
With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,452 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,932 VND/USD.
At 8:25 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks also saw decreases.
Vietcombank lowered its buying and selling rates to 26,211 and 26,451 VND/USD, respectively, down 2 VND each.
BIDV cut the buying rate by 2 VND to 26,230 VND/USD while raising the selling rate by 15 VND to 26,451 VND/USD./.
