Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 22,440 VND/USD on February 9, up 5 VND from the rate on the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,113 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,769 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at major commercials saw uneven fluctuations.

Vietinbank raised both rates by 1 VND compared to February 8, listing the buying rate at 22,663 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,733 VND/USD.

BIDV cut both rates by 25 VND, buying the greenback at 22,650 VND/USD and selling at 22,720 VND/USD.

Meanwhile Vietcombank maintained the same rates as on February 8, at 22,660 VND/USD (buying) and 22,730 VND/USD (selling).-VNA
