Reference exchange rate kept unchanged on March 17

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,321 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,815 VND/USD.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,068 VND/USD on March 17, unchanged from the March 16 session.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,321 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,815 VND/USD.

At 8:15am, the buying and selling rates at major commercial banks remain stable.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 26,081 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,321 VND/USD, the same as those on the March 16 session./.

Accordingly, the environmental protection tax on petrol (excluding ethanol), diesel, kerosene, mazut, and aviation fuel has been cut to 0 VND per litre. These products are also exempt from VAT declaration and payment, while still eligible for input VAT credit.
