Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily referenceexchange rate at 23,222 VND/USD on December 16, up 7 VND from the previous day.

With thecurrent trading band of  +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable tocommercial banks during the day is 23,902 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,507VND/USD.

Theopening-hour rates listed at commercial banks continued going up.

At 8:30am,Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,880 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,150 VND/USD, both up 10 VND from December 15.

BIDV raisedboth rates by 5 VND to 22,910 VND/USD (buying) and 23,150 VND/USD (selling)./.

According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), Vietnam's total aquatic exports in the month reached 774 million USD, up 3% year-on-year.
