Hanoi (VNA) – A Russian passenger has received timely medical assistance from a delegation of doctors from the Russian Ministry of Health while travelling on a Vietnam Airlines flight from Moscow to Hanoi.
On flight VN62 on September 11, a 55-year-old male passenger developed symptoms of dizziness and fatigue around two hours after takeoff. The cabin crew swiftly activated emergency protocols, administered first aid, and broadcast a request for medical support from passengers.
Coincidentally, the flight included four doctors from a high-level delegation of the Russian Ministry of Health on an official visit to Vietnam. They immediately responded to the call, working closely with the crew to examine, consult, and provide prompt medical care to the passenger.
The medical team and cabin crew continued to monitor his condition throughout the journey, and by the time the plane landed at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, the passenger’s health had stabilised.
Vietnam Airlines has reported several similar in-flight medical incidents in recent years, occasionally requiring emergency landings to ensure passengers receive timely treatment./.
