Tuyen Quang sets out new development goals at 1st Party Congress for 2025-2030 term

The goals were set out at the first Congress of the Party organisation of Tuyen Quang province for the 2025-2030 term, which opened on September 24 morning, seeing the participation of 415 official delegates representing over 130,000 Party members.

Tuyen Quang (VNA) - Tuyen Quang province is striving to become a fairly developed province with an upper-middle income level by 2030; and a developed, high-income province in the northern midland and mountainous region by 2024.

The goals were set out at the first Congress of the province’s Party organisation for the 2025-2030 term, which opened on September 24 morning, seeing the participation of 415 official delegates representing over 130,000 Party members.

Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Hau A Lenh said that the congress is a political event of special significance, reflecting the will and determination of the provincial Party organisation and the people of all ethnic groups.

In his speech at the congress, Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, acknowledged and praised the efforts and achievements of the provincial Party organisation, authorities, and people over the past five years.

Agreeing with the Political Report and affirming that the overall goals, key tasks, and breakthrough measures for the upcoming term demonstrate the province’s strong political determination and aspiration for progress, Chien emphasised that after its merger with Ha Giang province, Tuyen Quang faces a historic opportunity and strategic step, opening up an inter-regional development corridor and laying a solid foundation for sustainable and long-term growth.

The province needs to foster its aspiration for development, unlock its potential, mobilise all resources, consider science–technology and innovation as driving forces, solidarity as strength, internal resources as the primary factor and external resources as an important supplement to ensure rapid and sustainable development.

He requested the provincial Party organisation to further strengthen Party building and rectification, safeguard security, defence, and border sovereignty; while promptly issuing an action programme following the congress, and resolutely implementing it to bring the Resolution to life.

He also expressed his belief that, with the province’s glorious revolutionary tradition, solidarity, unity, and strong determination, its Party organisation and people will make breakthroughs, achieve new successes, and contribute to building an increasingly prosperous and civilised homeland.

At the congress, the Politburo’s decisions on the appointments to the provincial Party Committee, and its Standing Board, Secretary and Deputy Secretaries, members of the committee’s Inspection Commission, and its Chairperson and Vice Chairpersons for 2025-2030.

Accordingly, the provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term consists of 68 members, and its Standing Board has 22 members. Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for the 2020–2025 term, will continue to serve as Secretary of the provincial Party Committee for the new tenure./.
