HCM City (VNA) - On June 19, Van Lang University made a debut in the QS World University Rankings 2026, placing in the Top 1001-1200 globally and earning a respectable position of 392 worldwide for Academic Reputation. Additionally, in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2025, the University was ranked in the 601-800 global band overall and top 201-300 specifically for SDG 4: Quality Education.
Both QS and THE have recognised Van Lang University’s notable improvements in academic quality and reputation. In the first appearance in the QS World University Rankings, Van Lang University was ranked 392 globally for Academic Reputation - one of the most crucial indicators, accounting for 30% of the overall score - based on responses from over 144,000 scholars worldwide. The University also placed in the 701+ group for Employer Reputation and earned 45.3 points in International Research Network, with over 2,500 publications indexed in WoS and Scopus between 2020 and 2025.
In THE Impact Rankings 2025, Van Lang University advanced to the 601-800 band globally, with strong performance across 15 out of 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Notably, the University was ranked in the 101-200 group for SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 201-300 for SDG 4 (Quality Education), and 301-400 for SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
In recent years, Van Lang University has integrated digital skill development into our programs, offering courses in AI, data analytics, big data, and machine learning. At the same time, the University continues to expand research infrastructure, with new labs and research centers supporting both learning and applied research. Today, Van Lang University is home to approximately 40,000 students, including nearly 3,000 international learners from across Asia and Europe.
