Special gastronomy

Most international tourists that have arrived in Vietnam say that Hanoi is a destination that should not to be missed. Hanoi brings together all the unique beauties of a rich culture, street foods, historical relics and the daily life of the old quarter and its people.

“The shortest way to the heart is through the stomach”, so food plays an important part in the path of exploring and experiencing Vietnamese culture for foreign tourists. In Vietnam, Hanoi is the first place that comes to tourists’ minds due to its stunning beauty, typical street food and historical relics. Vietnam’s specialties like Pho and Banh mi, which are well-known all over the world, are easily found in Hanoi. Trying these dishes in Hanoi will bring tourists a special taste of the northern dishes and a unique hospitality.

 “Never-ever” seen experiences

Vietnam is not only famous for its diverse and distinctive dining experiences but also for its stunning nature with prominent historical relics and the hospitality of its local people.

After 4 years living in Ho Chi Minh City, Kenichi Yamanobe from Japan said, “I feel Vietnam is like my second home. The Vietnamese are so friendly, and their close relations and behavior make me feel warm-hearted. In addition, they always welcome foreigners with all their pride and hospitality, introducing Vietnamese foods, and symbolic destinations, among other things.”

He also shared his experience on a volunteer trip to the northern province of Ha Giang. He said experiencing local culture by himself through volunteer work was one of the most meaningful ways to travel. During the trip, volunteers had the chance to enjoy gorgeous nature, special local food and experience the daily lives of local people. He hoped to gain more finances to come back to Vietnam with new projects.

A group of American tourists chose a different way to explore Vietnam through participating in agricultural tourism in Ninh Binh province. During the trip, they enjoyed riding water buffalos, planting rice, catching fish and crabs. They shared that this was their first time experiencing such an interesting kind of eco-tourism. Through the experience, they learned more about the work relating to water-rice culture.
