Vietnamese environment officials shared experience in natural resourcesmanagement and environmental protection with the Lao National Assembly’srepresentatives in Vientiane on April 10 as part of their workingvisit to Laos.
At the working session, attendedby NA Chairwoman Pani Zathotu and vice chairpersons, Minister ofNatural Resources and Environment Nguyen Minh Quang briefed his hosts onthe management of land, mineral and water resources and theenvironmental protection in Vietnam .
He alsospoke of challenges and lessons drawn from the reality so that thecountry can make timely polices and laws on natural resources managementand environmental protection, thus boosting its socio-economicdevelopment on a right track.
As the two countriesshare similarities in natural conditions and socio-economic institution,Vietnam ’s experience could help Laos in building policies inthese fields, he said.
The minister also expressedhis wish that the two sides will increase cooperation and professionalexchanges in State management in general and in the management ofnatural resources in particular.
The Lao representativesappreciated Vietnam’s valuable experience, expressing wish forreceiving the country’s continued assistance in these fields.-VNA
