A seminar on trade exchange opportunities between Vietnam and Uruguay was held in the capital city of Montevideo on April 26.

Addressing the seminar, Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina and Uruguay Nguyen Van Dao spoke of Vietnam ’s economic, trade and investment achievements.

The diplomat invited Uruguayan businesses to visit and explore Vietnam’s market to set up mutually beneficial partnerships in the context of important development of bilateral political ties, including the Vietnam visit by Uruguayan President Tabare Vazquez in 2007 and the Uruguay visit in 2009 by State Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, plus the opening of the Uruguayan embassy in Vietnam late last year.
