Vietnamese awarded Russian friendship medal
Dao Trong Thi, Chairman of Vietnamese National Assembly’s Committee for
Culture-Education -Youth-Children was awarded the Friendship Medal by
the Russian State for his great contributions to developing and
promoting cooperative relations with Russia .

On behalf of the Russian government, President Dmitry Medvedev handed over the awards to the recipients. The chairman was one of a group of foreign citizens who received Russia ’s state decorations at a ceremony in Russia on June 20.
Thi studied in the mathematics – mechanics faculty of Lomonosov University , in the Soviet Union in the 1970s.
Dao Trong Thi was elected Chairman of the Vietnam-Russian Friendship Association in 2006 and was appointed to his current position in 2007./.
