- Party General Secretary To Lam, who is also head of the Central Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Corruption, Wastefulness and Negative Phenomena, chaired a conference in Hanoi on December 11 to evaluate the country’s anti-corruption combat throughout the 13th National Party Congress’s term.
The event saw the presence of Politburo members, including State President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, along with high-level officials from the Government, the National Assembly, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the municipal and provincial Party Committees, among others. In the penultimate month of the year, a series of key macroeconomic indicators pointed to sustained improvement. Industrial production, exports, domestic consumption and business formation all advanced, underscoring the economy’s capacity to withstand disruptions caused by unprecedented natural disasters. - More than six years after the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) entered into force, the trade pact is driving robust export growth for Vietnamese agriculture, particularly aquatic products, rice and fruits, into the bloc’s high-value markets.
The 12-member CPTPP covering Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, Singapore, the UK and Vietnam saw two-way trade with Vietnam reach 102.8 billion in the first 10 months of 2025, up 20.6% from a year earlier.
