- State President Luong Cuong held a working session with relevant agencies on October 15 to look into preparations for the signing ceremony of the UN Convention against Cybercrime (Hanoi Convention), scheduled to take place in Hanoi on October 25–26.
The Steering Committee for the event reported that as of October 14, 93 delegations led by high-ranking leaders and ministers from various countries had confirmed their participation, with over 1,000 delegates and media representatives. Read full story
- Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on October 15 attended and delivered a keynote speech at the 20th Party Congress of Thanh Hoa province for the 2025-2030 tenure, emphasising five key tasks for the local Party Organisation, armed forces, and people to focus on in order to achieve the set goals.

- Vietnam, with its ambition to become a new hub in Asia’s semiconductor supply chain, is taking the first steps in building a high-quality human resources ecosystem to serve the digital economy.
Professor Usagawa Tsuyoshi, a leading Japanese semiconductor expert and special adviser to the Vietnam Japan University (VJU), said the Vietnamese Government’s goal of training at least 50,000 semiconductor professionals by 2030 is achievable if the State, businesses, and universities coordinate effectively.
