Close to 100 delegates from over 20 Asia-Pacific countries have met in Hanoi to share experiences in drug prevention and control in the region.
During a regional seminar co-organised by the Drug Consultancy Programme under the Colombo Plan and the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security, the participants discussed measures to prevent drug use in the community and work places as well as the role of families in drug prevention.
Education on drug prevention at school, communication campaigns targeting teenagers and measures to prevent drug abuse among street children were also tabled for discussion./.
