Bac Ninh (VNA) – The People’s Committee of Bac Giang ward (Bac Ninh city) on October 14 launched a campaign to support local people in digital transformation and to clean and enrich the land database.

The initiative in 30 days and nights aims to realise the goals of the national digital transformation programme and boost local socio-economic development.

Over the past time, Bac Giang ward has achieved significant results: it ranks third province-wide in the digital transformation index for public service delivery; 100% of enterprises and business households use e-invoices; over 80% of residents aged 15 and above have electronic payment accounts; and all neighborhoods have established “Community Digital Technology Teams,” with full 4G and partial 5G coverage.

The campaign follows Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo and related plans from provincial and ward authorities.

Chairman of Bac Giang ward People’s Committee Tran Van Thanh emphasized that digital transformation is an inevitable trend and one of the nation’s three strategic breakthroughs. He called on all officials, Party members, youth and citizens to participate actively, viewing it as both a duty and an opportunity for development.

From October 14 to November 14, ward forces and neighborhood teams will assist residents in seven areas: using online public services and apps such as VNeID and VssID; cleaning and enriching land databases; using eTAX for electronic tax filing; promoting cashless payments; opening e-wallets and electronic payment accounts; ensuring personal cybersecurity; and improving online information search skills.

Local agencies are urged to enhance IT application in management and administration, effectively use the public service portal and document management systems, and build a truly digital government. The Fatherland Front and other organizations will integrate digital transformation efforts into patriotic movements, while Youth Union members will serve as core digital transformation ambassadors.

The campaign serves as a peak emulation drive under the slogan “Determined – Accelerated – Breakthrough – Effective – Achieve Results.” Its outcomes will be used as a criterion for evaluating 2025 performance of all ward officials and civil servants./.
