Cambodia People’s Party marks 70th founding anniversary
Phnom Penh (VNA) – June 28, 2021 marked the 70th founding anniversary of the Cambodia People’s Party (CPP).
The Khmer Times newspaper on June 29 published an article on this important event of the CPP, highlighting the party's achievements, especially over the past four decades.
In an interview with Khmer Times, Vietnamese
Ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh also conveyed the warmest congratulation
to the CPP.
The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) also sent a congratulatory
message to the CPP Central Committee on the occasion.
In the message,
the CPV said over the past 70 years,
under the leadership of the Cambodian People's Party, Cambodia has overcome
many difficulties and challenges, and won glorious victories in the struggle for national independence, saved the Cambodian people from the
genocidal disaster and revived the nation.
It said the country has successfully implemented the policy of peace and national harmony, building an increasingly prosperous nation and constantly raising Cambodia's
position in the international arena.
Party
General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong also sent flowers to the CPP
President and Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen, and CPP Honorary
President and National Assembly President Heng Samrin on the occasion.
Le Hoai Trung, head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for External
Relations, also extended congratulations to Prak Sokhonn, Chairman of the CPP
Central Committee's Commission for External Relations./.
