Contemporary Japanese fine arts on display

Forty-two artworks by 11 contemporary Japanese artists are on display at an exhibition which opened on July 14 in Hue city, the central province of Thua Thien-Hue.
Forty-two artworks by 11 contemporary Japanese artists are on display atan exhibition which opened on July 14 in Hue city, the central provinceof Thua Thien-Hue.

Taking inspiration from the daily lives, the works are set in the commontrend of contemporary arts including paintings, sculptures,installations, photographs and videos.

According tothe organising board, a large mass of people have changed their view onthe matters of life due to major shifts in the world socio-economicconditions in the 1990s, and that has created a change in contemporaryarts.

Since then, many artists have turned away fromlarger issues to concentrate on smaller and more intimate areas of life,featuring personal feelings and lives.

The eventwill last till July 24./.
