Hanoi (VNA) – Moscow has launched a Vietnamese-language version of its official tourism platform, Discover Moscow, as the Russian capital seeks to attract a growing number of travellers from Vietnam.

Accessible at https://discover.moscow/vi, the platform provides a one-stop source of travel information, featuring practical guidance, seasonal itineraries and planning tips for visitors. It showcases the city's key attractions, cultural routes, parks, events, restaurants, shopping destinations and family-friendly activities, enabling travellers to organise their trips before arriving in Moscow.

The Vietnamese-language portal brings together reliable travel information, curated recommendations and planning tools tailored to Vietnamese users, underscoring Moscow's efforts to deliver a more convenient, accessible and personalised visitor experience.

Moscow's simplified visa policy has also helped fuel interest among Vietnamese travellers. Vietnamese citizens can obtain a Russian electronic visa within four days, while improved air connectivity has made travel easier, with around 32 direct flights operating each week between Moscow and cities in Vietnam.

The new platform marks another milestone in Moscow's campaign to make the destination more accessible to Vietnamese tourists, offering support throughout every stage of their journey, from trip planning to on-the-ground exploration.

According to the Moscow City Tourism Committee, the Russian capital welcomed 42,000 Vietnamese visitors in 2025. In the first quarter of 2026, it received a further 9,100 tourists from Vietnam, highlighting steady growth in demand from the Vietnamese market.

For many Vietnamese visitors, Moscow's appeal lies in its blend of Soviet heritage and longstanding historical ties with Vietnam. The city offers a mix of iconic Soviet-era landmarks, medieval monasteries and cathedrals, Romanov-era mansions and contemporary creative districts, while its museums, public spaces and world-famous metro system showcase its rich historical legacy.

Popular attractions include the Kremlin, Red Square, Alexander Garden and the historic city centre. Art lovers can explore the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and the Tretyakov Gallery, while families can visit the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (VDNKh), the Museum of Cosmonautics, Moskino Film Park, Dream Island amusement park, as well as water parks and science centres.

During the summer months, Moscow's cultural scene extends outdoors through the Summer in Moscow programme, which brings concerts, performances, workshops, food markets, floral displays and family-friendly events to parks, streets and public spaces across the city. The Vietnamese-language Discover Moscow platform helps visitors navigate these seasonal attractions with curated recommendations, practical information and travel inspiration tailored to their interests./.
