The Bac Lieu province People's Committee has approved an architectural design for a five-star hotel to be built in the shape of a Vietnamese moon-shaped lute.

The 16-storey project with a height of 50 metres has construction cost of 140 billion VND (6.22 million USD), according to Ngo Xuan Pha, Cchairman of the Board of Directors of the Bao Toan Auto Joint-Stock Company, the project's investor.

The hotel has a five-storey base in the shape of a boat with moon-shaped lute storeys. The elevators are designed in the shape of lute strings.

An observatory and coffee bar are located on the hotel's rooftop.

The project with the shape of a moon-shaped lute, the cultural symbol of the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu, is expected to begin construction in September.-VNA
