Former Bac Giang leaders receive official warnings

The former Chairman and former Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the former Bac Giang province for the 2016–2021 tenure have received warnings for violations and shortcomings in the performance of their duties.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Prime Minister has issued two decisions imposing disciplinary measures on the former Chairman and former Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the former Bac Giang province for the 2016–2021 tenure.

Under Decision No. 1275/QD-TTg, Nguyen Van Linh, former Chairman of the People's Committee, received a warning for violations and shortcomings in the performance of his duties, following Party disciplinary action taken by the Party Central Committee's Inspection Commission. The disciplinary measure takes effect from May 22, 2026, the date Decision No. 67-QD/UBKTTW of the commission came into force.

Under Decision No. 1276/QD-TTg, another warning was given to Lai Thanh Son, former Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, for violations and shortcomings in the performance of his duties, after the commission had imposed Party disciplinary action, which also takes effect from May 22.

Both decisions took effect on the date of signing, July 14, 2026.

Bac Giang was merged with Bac Ninh province to form the new Bac Ninh province in 2025./.
