Fundraising campaign for Truong Sa soldiers

The Ho Chi Minh City chapter of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on May 14 started a fundraising campaign in support of officers safeguarding national sovereignty at Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago.

Over8.8 billion VND (410,000 USD) in cash and other gifts were donated rightat the launch ceremony of the drive that will last for a fortnight.

Since 2014, the city has presented four boats to Navy Zone 4 andgifts to Truong Sa soldiers and officers, totalling over 20 billion VND(950,000 USD).-VNA
