Jakarta (VNA) – The Indonesian Government is increasing synergy among ministries, agencies, and transport operators to ensure safe and smooth public mobility during the Christmas and New Year holiday travel period.
While visiting the Transportation Ministry’s command post on December 23, its Minister Dudy Purwagandhi expressed appreciation to ministries and agencies, state-owned enterprises (SOEs), and private transport operators for their continued cooperation in facilitating year-end holiday travel.
One clear example is the collaboration to improve ferry services on the Merak–Bakauheni route, he said.
To ensure policies, operational measures, and on-the-ground responses are well coordinated, cross-sector collaboration is being managed through the command post.
Meanwhile, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya urged all stakeholders to ensure public services during the holiday travel period operate optimally and improve upon last year’s performance./.
