– As the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) convenes at a pivotal moment in the country’s development, the role of foreign affairs has been elevated to a “key and regular” task on par with national defence and security, reflecting the Party and State’s heightened trust and expectations for diplomacy in the new development era.

– Vietnam has voiced its support for substantive reform of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to enhance the body’s representativeness, effectiveness and efficiency.
At the first plenary meeting of the Intergovernmental Negotiations (IGN) process on UNSC reform within the framework of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Vietnam made the statement at a discussion that launched this year’s series of negotiations on one of the UN’s most critical, complex and long-standing reform agendas. – The Global On-Chain Economy Alliance (GOE Alliance) of Vietnam has joined a networking and international cooperation promotion programme on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, hosted by the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.
Jointly organised by the municipal People’s Committee, the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) in the city (HCMC C4IR) and the Vietnam International Financial Centre in Ho Chi Minh City (VIFC-HCMC), the event was part of a series of activities showcasing the vision for building VIFC-HCMC, while expanding cooperation with global partners in finance, technology and innovation. – Twelve vocational education institutions in Ho Chi Minh City have been provided with digital education equipment worth more than 800 million VND (30,400 USD) to roll out the “Digital Classroom” model, helping translate theory into practice while aligning training with digital transformation requirements in governance, teaching and learning.
The “Digital Classroom” model follows five German-standard pillars covering digitalised school management, lecturer capacity building, interactive digital learning resources, modern teaching infrastructure, and stronger links between vocational schools and businesses.
