- Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has urged theCentral Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defence to improvetheir research and forecasting capacity and further provide timely advice forthe Party and the State while chairing a meeting of the commission on July 13.

The meeting aimed to review the performance of military andnational defence tasks in the first half of 2022 and launch key missions forthe rest of the year. Read full story

- The Party, State and people always keep in mind the sacrifice and devotion ofofficers, soldiers and individuals who joined the battle to defend thecountry’s northern border, as well as the struggles for national independence,reunification and territorial integrity, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc affirmed inHanoi on July 13.

- Fourteen defendants, including high-ranking officials fromthe Border and Coast Guards, stand accused of smuggling 200 million litres ofRON 95 petrol worth around 2.8 trillion VND (130 million USD) into Vietnam.

- The Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA)said on July 13 that its members sold 25,159 vehicles in June, down 42% fromthe previous month.

Deputy FM highlights parliamentary diplomacy gains from IPU-152, European trips

Vietnam, China elevate strategic connectivity in new phase of development

The top Vietnamese legislator expressed his admiration for Türkiye’s cultural identity and its friendly, hospitable people, while highly valuing the European country’s growing role and position at multilateral forums and in regional mediation efforts. Vietnam, China sign 32 cooperation documents

The documents include a cooperation plan between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) for the 2026–2030 period; a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the Organisation Commission of the CPV Central Committee and its Chinese counterpart; and a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee.
