Over 838,000 students to sit second set of entrance exams

More than 838,000 students have registered to sit for this year’s second round of university and college entrance examinations, which will take place on July 9-10.
More than 838,000 students have registered to sit for this year’ssecond round of university and college entrance examinations, which willtake place on July 9-10.

According to the Ministry ofEducation and Training, the first examinations were sat by over650,000 candidates, accounting for almost 77.1 percent of the totalnumber registered across the country.

Theexamination councils of universities have mobilised almost 69,500 exammonitors to supervise the exams and prevent cheating.

About 10,000 volunteer students from universities and colleges inHanoi and neighboring provinces and cities have participated insupporting examinees and their relatives in this year’s tough examseason.

The volunteers will be ready atpublic places such as train and coach stations and the gates ofuniversities to provide necessary information about exams, location,accommodations and means of transportation.-VNA
