– An exhibition showcasing portraits of 21 APEC economies’ leaders made from pottery will be organised at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, Hanoi, from November 18-21.

The exhibition is expected to showcase Dong Nai pottery paintings as well as photos capturing several pottery paintings gifts which were presented to APEC leaders during the freshly-concluded APEC Economic Leaders’ Week by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Portraits of late President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc and National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan will be exhibited as well.

The paintings were made during 2016-2017 by a group of artists and artisans from the southern province of Dong Nai.

Along with those presented to several APEC leaders, the remaining will be sent through embassies of countries and territories in Vietnam.

After Hanoi, the exhibition will be held in Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam is the host of the APEC Year 2017, with the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week in central Da Nang city from November 6-11 the highlight.

Established in 1989, APEC comprises Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Thailand, the US, and Vietnam.-VNA
